WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

ELIGIBILITY & ENROLMENT
Our accredited CPR course welcomes everyone, as it doesn’t require any formal academic background.
Anyone 14 or older can take part in this CPR course. If you’re under 18, you’ll need to bring a signed consent form from a parent or guardian.
Numeracy and Literacy Requirements:
- Stellar Institute assesses language, literacy, and numeracy skills. Necessary abilities include:
- Completing incident reports.
- Effective, assertive communication.
- Understanding Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines.
- Students not meeting these standards can still enroll with trainer endorsement and supportive strategies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform uninterrupted CPR for at least 2 minutes while kneeling.
Pre-course Requirements:
- Completion of pre-course reading and a quiz, requiring basic computer skills and internet access.
COURSE DELIVERY
Our comprehensive 1.5 hour face-to-face class includes cpr training and assessment. During this session, you’ll complete all theoretical and practical aspects of the course under the watchful eye of our experienced and accredited first aid trainers. They’re always available to offer the support and guidance you need. To successfully obtain your CPR certification, the CPR course assessment requires practical demonstration of the skills learned on both an adult and child manikin.
Before you come to the training, it’s essential to go through the first aid learner guide. The time it takes to finish both the guide and the training can vary, depending on your prior knowledge, experience, and skills.
HLTAID009 provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation can also be obtained by completing one of our accredited first aid courses (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting).
